Age Of Empires IV Is Coming!
It has been over a decade since Age of Empires III was launched in 2005. Eager fans should now be delighted as Microsoft Studios has finally announced the latest instalment of the series, Age of Empire IV, for PC. No official launch date has been provided, but Microsoft did show audiences at Gamescom a trailer for the upcoming game which you can view at the bottom of this post.
The first instalment of the real-time strategy Age of Empires series was released in 1997 that was set in the Stone Age leading up to the Classical period. Two years later, Age of Empires II was launched taking us in the Middle Ages. Age of Empires III came out in 2005 with the storyline set in the Colonial period. Regarding Age of Empire IV, no specifications have been released yet, but Microsoft promised to update the fans soon.
The developer of the game, Relic Entertainment – a Canada-based game developer responsible for games like Company of Heroes, Dawn of War and Homeworld – has started work on the latest instalment of the legendary series. Adam Isgreen, the creative director at Microsoft Studios has put his faith on Relic Entertainment for their good experience with real-time strategy games.
Before getting hands on this highly anticipated game, fans would be able to enjoy Age of Empire: Definitive Edition, which was revealed during the PC Gaming Show at E3 with October 19th release date. This 4K remastered version of the original Age of Empires will only be available on Windows Store for Windows 10.
