Final Fantasy XV Delay Officially Confirmed

It has officially announced by Square Enix that Final Fantasy XV launched will be moved to November 29, 2016 worldwide.

Update – August 15, 3:04am: The global release of Final Fantasy XV has been delayed to November 29, 2016, Square Enix announced today. “From the moment we joined this project, our vision was to create a level of freedom and realism previously unseen in the series. Regrettably, we need a little bit more time to deliver on this vision and are confident that this new release date will help us achieve this,” said director Hajime Tabata in a press release. “As the director and lead of this project, I wish to personally apologize for the additional wait. As a team, we want Final Fantasy XV to achieve a level of perfection that our fans deserve. We kindly ask for your understanding.”

September 30 was the original schedule for Final Fantasy XV launching worldwide.

Most of the game stores have not yet been briefed on the delay. Many of GameStops having Final Fantasy XV standees with September release date will be displayed on Sunday night or Monday morning as instructed. But not for long, they will surely get stickers with the new release date on it which is November 29.

Gamnesia published a skeptic image guiding GameStop employees in changing the date on their Final Fantasy XV items.

The delays will be a good thing for almost everyone except maybe for the business people who will be more affected with this sudden changed. It is believed that Final Fantasy XV was technically in a rough shape that causes the delay. Two months will be enough time I guess to polish and optimize on whatever is needed.  For sure, this incident will likely result to a better game.

It’s been ten years of making so what is two more months!?  😉
